Bethany grew up in Palos Verdes, Southern California, where she developed a strong determination to challenge herself. After earning a bachelor’s degree in International Business from UCSD, she faced the common post-graduation struggle of finding roles that offered the growth she desired.

To support herself, Bethany worked in the restaurant industry, gaining valuable experience in customer service and people management. She later transitioned into E-commerce, hoping for a better fit, but soon realized the role lacked the personal development she sought. Her search for growth led her to a management training program, where she embraced a new challenge despite having no prior experience in sales or management. Nervous yet excited, Bethany jumped into this opportunity.

This decision paid off as she discovered a passion for personal and professional development, thriving in a fast-paced environment that fostered her growth. What started as a leap of faith evolved into a deep commitment to helping others grow while continuing to elevate herself.

Now, as co-founder of Ascend Market Group, Bethany is dedicated to creating a culture of growth and excellence, empowering her team to reach their full potential while continuing her own journey of self-improvement.

Alex Haberlach

CEO

At 26, Alex is driven by the spirit of entrepreneurship and the thrill of new challenges. His journey began in Seattle but took a pivotal turn when he moved to California for high school. After graduation, Alex chose to dive into the real world instead of pursuing traditional college, which led him back and forth between LA and Seattle. He initially worked to save up before making a final move back to LA.

In Los Angeles, Alex embraced the dynamic world of social media, managing accounts for various dispensaries and investing earnings into cryptocurrency. This venture opened doors to exciting opportunities, including working with a celebrity trainer and meeting future business partner Corey Calliet. Together, they are on the cusp of launching a canned water company.

While balancing social media, cryptocurrency investments, and his new venture, Alex pursued personal growth through a role with a Fortune 500 company. This experience paved the way for co-founding Ascend Marketing Group with Bethany Jun, a colleague met during the program. As a proud business owner, Alex is dedicated to managing multiple enterprises and pushing boundaries. His aim is to build the organization and network while continually increasing his knowledge and skill set, fostering both professional and personal growth within the company.

Brian Kofi Sarpong

Assistant Director

Brian Kofi Sarpong is an Assistant Director at Ascend Marketing Group, where his dynamic leadership, creative vision, and relentless drive for excellence shape the company’s approach to innovative marketing strategies. Originally from North Hollywood and a prince in his native Ghana, Brian’s humble beginnings and cultural roots have instilled in him a deep sense of humility, resilience, and dedication.

Growing up with a passion for sport and competition, Brian learned early on the value of perseverance and teamwork—principles that he carries into his professional career. With a background in music and art, he brings a unique blend of creativity, discipline, and strategic thinking to every project he leads. This diverse skill set allows him to approach challenges with a fresh perspective and deliver impactful results for clients.

As a growing leader, Brian is committed to continually honing his own abilities while empowering others to reach their full potential. At just 21, Jordan Cooper is a driven entrepreneur with a passion for leadership, marketing, and sales. Originally from the small town of Bishop, California, he has embraced the fast-paced environment of Orange County, where he is actively developing his skills and working toward his goals.
Jordan began his professional career as a clinical assistant, where he honed his leadership abilities and cultivated a deep appreciation for growth and learning. While the role was rewarding, he sought a greater challenge—one that would push him to new heights both professionally and personally.

Kristen Strakalaitis

Kristen Strakalaitis is a dynamic communicator with a background in multimedia journalism and a passion for connecting with people. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, she earned her B.S. in Electronic Journalism with a minor in Public Relations from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale. Kristen built her career in local news markets across Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Texas, where she honed her storytelling, broadcasting, and relationship-building skills.

In 2023, she relocated to Southern California and successfully transitioned into the solar industry, bringing her strong communication expertise and adaptability to a new arena. Kristen thrives on creating meaningful engagement across platforms and is driven by the opportunity to make an impact through clear, compelling messaging and authentic connections.
